Sriram; Suraj Eskay

Suraj Sriram, known in media circles by his pen name Eskay, is a well-known editorial cartoonist & illustrator, whose work has been published in numerous leading newspapers & magazines in India and the US over the past three decades. In the early to mid ?80?s while in India, his work appeared regularly in the Sunday edition of a national newspaper Indian Express and a weekly tabloid Blitz. His cartoons and illustrations also appeared in a number of other tabloids and magazines published in Bombay (Mumbai). He went to the US in 1985 and during his 20 years there, his freelance editorial cartoons were published in Cape Cod Times, Sun Chronicle and Providence Journal. From 1996 to 2013 he was the editorial cartoonist for a weekly business paper Banker & Tradesman, published by the Warren Group in Boston. His editorial illustrations also appeared in Banking New York published by the same group. In 2003 and 2005 he received awards from the New England Press Association for excellence as an editorial cartoonist.
