Every day, the common man of India struggles against the ills of corruption, poor governance, pollution, a dysfunctional educational system and more. The common man, who is at the receiving end of it all, feels betrayed and abandoned by the powers that be. With tongue-in-cheek cartoons, illustrations, prose and poetry, this highlights the plight of the citizens of this country. The citizens want a better India, but what will that India look like? With just the right touch of humour, Suraj 'Eskay' Sriram gives us his take on the present and his vision of the future.

Suraj Sriram, known in media circles by his pen name Eskay, is a well-known editorial cartoonist & illustrator, whose work has been published in numerous leading newspapers & magazines in India and the US over the past three decades. In the early to mid ?80?s while in India, his work appeared regularly in the Sunday edition of a national newspaper Indian Express and a weekly tabloid Blitz. His cartoons and illustrations also appeared in a number of other tabloids and magazines published in Bombay (Mumbai). He went to the US in 1985 and during his 20 years there, his freelance editorial cartoons were published in Cape Cod Times, Sun Chronicle and Providence Journal. From 1996 to 2013 he was the editorial cartoonist for a weekly business paper Banker & Tradesman, published by the Warren Group in Boston. His editorial illustrations also appeared in Banking New York published by the same group. In 2003 and 2005 he received awards from the New England Press Association for excellence as an editorial cartoonist.
