The main contents include General Description, History, People, Reli­gious and Social Life, Tribes and Castes and Leading Families, Village Communities and Tenures, Agricul­ture and Livestock, Administration and Finance, Towns, Municipalities and Cantonments, with exhaustive statistical tables. This, the first Gazetteer of Delhi, which has remained scarce for a long time, is now being published for interested scholars.\n
