She took her PhD. in Psychology and spent a decade teaching in colleges and the Punjabi University, Patiala before joining the Punjab Civil Services. <br><br> She writes freelance, works for socially disadvantaged students, is a psychological counselor, life skills speaker and peace promoter. 'Dusk over the Mustard Fields' is her debut novel.
